2 special shout outs to 2 special people!

I totally forgot to put this in yesterday's post. In no particular order:

1.) Congratulations to Aunt Annie (Aron's sister) for being selected as an alternate to Yale's grad school for organ performance! Competition was fierce as they only selected 5 people to attend. It's an honor.

2.) A special Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-ha to Tori (my best bud from college) who had a momentous birthday yesterday. Hopefully, there was much partying. Although, she's a teacher now so I'm guessing her partying was likely reduced to having a slice of cake in the teacher's lounge. But, hey, it's still partying none-the-less. ROCK ON, SISTER!

Story hour and Myles over for lunch--could it get any better?

I don't think it could get any better than that for my little Ella. We walked to story hour today in a double stroller. Luke slept the entire way there and back but was awake for the actual story hour. Ella sat perched in the front seat of the stroller and pointed things out as we went along. If I would try to respond to her and have a conversation with her, she would pause in her narration and say "Mommy! Hush! Lukie sleeping!" Who doesn't love a 2 year old bossing you around?? As usual, Miss Lori did a bang up job with the kiddies--how in the world does she manage to keep the attention of 25 kids under the age of 3?? I'll never know. The best part of story hour today was the craft (yeah!) which was a bracelet made of pipe cleaner and fruit loops. Could Ella have been any happier? No! As could be expected, there was much eating of the fruit loops and very little working on our fine motor skills (stringing the fruit loops on the pipe cleaner) but who cares, the kids had fun. After story hour, I thought I should walk to the store to pick up some milk for the kids. I forgot that on the way back from the store it's a steep uphill climb--going to the store isn't too bad because you're going down. Coming back up is a bear especially when I'm pushing 26# of Ella, 15# of Luke, 8# from the gallon of milk plus whatever the stroller weighs. Let's just say my lungs were burning while Ella was screaming "faster, Mommy, faster. No stop, Mommy--GOOOOOOOOOO." YIKES! We got home about 2 minutes before Myles and Aunt Robbie came over for lunch. It was hot dogs and mac and cheese--yum. Ella wanted to steal Myles' hot dog which he was ok with because he's not much of a meat eater (even if it is just pseudo meat like what's in hot dogs). We all know how Ella loves her meat--basically, if it stops moving long enough she's going to try to eat it. She's such a carnivore! There was much playing, goofing around, and sharing of toys. Luke had some sweet potato baby food which is his current favorite. He's my Little Sweet Potato!

I missed my calling as a beautician...

Well, today was a big day in the Fraizer household. Luke and Ella both had their first haircuts. Luke's haircut consisted of cutting the approximately 10 long hairs he had on top of his head that I would use as a comb-over (he looked like Donald Trump. See also below--the 10 hairs are resting on Aron's chest). Now he looks like the pic on the right--with a cute little buzz cut. My Mom almost fainted when I told her I cut his hair. She has some phobia about cutting a baby's hair before they turn a year old. Probably some old wive's tale or something. She probably still thinks that if she steps on a crack, she actually will break her mother's back.

I didn't get a very good picture of Ella's haircut yet and she's sleeping so I don't want to wake her up to take another one. I cut about 2-3 inches off of it. It was starting to get too long. Ella's going to her Granny Lindy's today for some homemade lasagna and bread. She loves going over and hanging out with her Grandpa Steve. Ella's hoping that maybe one of their sheep will have had a baby lamb. I'm sure the lamb will love having Ella running after it trying to take care of it : ) Poor little lamb! Whatever happens, I'm sure she'll have the correct purse and accessories for the occasion!

Story Hour, BABY!

Today was story hour. It was fun. Miss Lori lead some crazy dancing, story telling, and crafting fun. Ella ran around like a spaz with some of the other kids. Of course, she had to bring along a purse (today's selection was her frog purse) and wear a ring (a small orange hairband on her finger that coordinated with her orange t-shirt). Who knew I could have such a fashion-forward child even at age 2? Sigh, I may be in trouble when she gets older. I think Luke may have an uphill battle fighting off all her potential suitors. Speaking of Luke, he is beginning to explore the wonderful world of solid food. He doesn't really enjoy rice cereal (I didn't know that there were any kids that didn't like that stuff) but does enjoy applesauce, peaches, and the occasional smidge of cool whip (yes, yes, I know, he's not supposed to have dairy yet but let's get crazy, shall we?).

I think Ella wants her Grammie and Granny Lindy to come over. She keeps asking me "Mommy, work now?" I think she's trying to be subtle and tell me "Hey I'd really like you to go to work so that my Grammie and Granny Lindy can come over to play." Am I really not as fun to be around as a couple of 50 somethings??

Who is this big boy and crafty girl?

He's such a big boy reading with Grandpa Steve!

We always put him on his back to sleep but I woke up yesterday morning and peeked in on him and saw that he was lying on his tummy. This was the first time he had rolled over (back to tummy). I rolled him over on his back again and went downstairs to take a shower/get ready for work. By the time I went back upstairs to say goodbye to Aron, he was flipped on his tummy again. That little scamp!

Ella has been addicted to Disney movies for quite some time now. Her current fave is Cinderella. Grammie has been bringing her cartoons to watch for quite some time now on Tuesdays when I go to work . She also enjoys Beauty and the Beast (which she calls Beefst), Aladdin (which she calls Jasmine), and Winne the Pooh and the Heffelump (which she calls Lumpy). She also enjoys painting, playing with playdoh, and making noodle necklaces. We go to story hour tomorrow which she just loves. BLESS MISS LORI AT STORY HOUR! She does such a good job with the large group of kids and always has a fun craft to do at the end.
